In the stunning Location of Newbattle Abbey College

These weekends are about singing all sorts of songs from across the world and from our own backyard. Corrina’s teaching style is very relaxed, providing words and music if you need it, using repetition, harmony, rhythm and sound to help you on your way to singing more confidently, with technical practise to support you, breathing exercises to strengthen your voice, and helping you gain an understanding of how to make you sound the best you can be! If you have wanted to sing, either solo or in harmony with others, this is the weekend for you. Corrina is happy to answer queries by email before booking to ensure the weekend is tailored to your needs.

“Corrina Hewat is that most inspiring of musicians, a true professional who has a deep commitment to, and belief in, all the students who travel with her in her magical musical journey of discovery. Your belief in yourself strengthens – I found parts of my vocal range that I never knew were there! You only need to look at the smiles on everyone’s faces to see how much happiness and joy the workshops give. They’re a blast with a beat!”

Newbattle Abbey College is set in 125 acres of beautiful parkland just outside Edinburgh. The historic 16th century building and peaceful surroundings make it a unique place to learn and study, to take stock and embark on new opportunities. When the 11th Marquis of Lothian generously gave this former Cistercian monastery to the people of Scotland, he wanted those who had never had an education to benefit. 75 years later, the college still operates with the same principles.

There is free parking and free wifi available to all participants.
